X-MIRROR is an installation built with recycled material, selected for the Recycle Festival 2012, held at the Spazio Ansaldo in Milan. On a circular base of wood, with a dispotion of triangles random scale, made of cardboard. The cardboard was painted by white so as the base, this optimize the aim to create a surface for video projection. Around the sides of these triangles are positioned triangles of mirrors, to create a “illusion” room around those cardboard. This is to create an optical effect of change perspective and 3D illusion, either according to the movement of the viewer, also in according to the type of animation.
After finishing the building of installation and make safety the mirrors, the next step was the realization of the mapping file and animations for VJ sets of the festival. For the evening of November 17 was expected the live set of Jeff Mills with only behind the performance of X-MIRROR, without any other light equipment.
